In 1985, Coleman Custom Log Homes began to build its first log home in the mountains of North Georgia from its base of operations in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Since then, we’ve built over two hundred homes, as well as custom commercial construction projects. With a rapidly growing list of consultation clients, Coleman has developed an international reputation for creating artisanal fine-finish custom construction projects at the highest level of performance and style. About Travis Coleman, CEO
A second-generation homebuilder, Travis Coleman got his start in construction working in his father’s business, Ron Coleman Enterprises. His experience goes far beyond construction, however. Trained and educated as a professional audio engineer, Travis worked for a live sound reinforcement company and toured with Smashing Pumpkins, Vince Gill, and Eric Clapton. He worked as a fireman EMT for ten years. He has founded and successfully operated multiple businesses—one for roll-off containers, another for home remediation, and another as a government contractor. What draws together Travis Coleman’s various and broad experience is a focus on delivery on the details, great communication, and the love of creative problem-solving for complex challenges.
Travis utilizes all these gifts to the service of his clients with Coleman Custom Log Homes. He loves having the experience and insight to understand the needs and wants of his clients, to expand and refine their vision, to plan so as to prevent most problems, and to adapt quickly to solve creative challenges as they come. He matches his skill and experience with a love for people and community that makes his work more meaningful. He loves that clients become friends and even like family. Having grown up working in a family-owned business, Travis includes his own children in the business as they show interest. He hopes Coleman will become a name that means excellence in custom construction for many generations to come. Travis lives in Ellijay, Georgia with his wife and son and daughter. They enjoy traveling, camping, and being on a boat.
